Judge’s Comments:
I selected this image because of its timeless simplicity. The selection of background and background colors complement the main subject extremely well. The texture and flower pattern is perfect for the cake decorations. Everything works very well and is in sync.. I did find the candles, a bit distracting, but that is a question of personal choice. The selection of simple, soft side lighting is a perfect match to the feeling we get from the cake as well as the background thus creating a complementary look when all these elements come together…. Congratulations on bringing all of these things together to create this culinary image.
