Working With the Agency
Thank you for considering the Algonquin College Student-Run Agency for your upcoming event or project. Our agency takes on select projects that align with our learning objectives and provide valuable real-world experience for our students.
All job requests submitted will be reviewed by the Agency team, and we will follow up based on availability and project suitability.
What We Offer
Our Agency specializes in a range of creative services, including:
- Photographic Services – Headshots, event photography, product photography, editorial work, and more.
- Video Production – Short-form content, interviews, event coverage, and promotional videos.
- Motion Graphics & Design – Custom animated content, title sequences, and branding assets.
- Content Creation for Businesses – Social media content, branding photography, and advertising materials.
- Printing Services – High-quality prints, posters, and marketing collateral.
If you have a project that aligns with our expertise, we encourage you to submit a request!
Project Selection & Availability
Each year, we receive over 200+ requests for photography, video, and creative services. Due to high demand, we carefully select projects based on their educational value, feasibility within our schedule, and the opportunity they provide for our students to gain experience.
If you have not received a response within one week, it is likely that the Agency is unavailable to take on your request.
Paid Work
We advocate for fair compensation for our students’ skills and efforts. While we are happy to pass on job opportunities, we encourage all work to be paid appropriately and for students to receive credit for their contributions.
Volunteer & Charity Work
If your project is associated with a charity or non-profit organization, we are open to reviewing requests for volunteer work, provided students receive proper credit for their involvement.
Professional Consideration
We aim to support students without competing with professional photographers. If a project is beyond the scope of our students, we may refer you to Program Alumni or industry professionals who specialize in that field.
Student Availability & Blackout Periods
Due to academic workload and program schedules, we do not accept job requests during the following times:
Exam & Break Periods
- December 1 – January 7
- April 1 – May 1
Summer Term (No Classes in Session)
- June 15 – August 23
